Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Memix iOS app and the Memix service. Memix does not show ads, does not track you across other apps or websites, and does not sell personal data. Questions or requests: tuyetnt6134@icloud.com.
1. Your account
Memix doesn't ask you to sign in. The first time you open the app, it creates an account linked to your device. The app generates a random device identifier and a secret, and keeps them in the iOS Keychain on your device. We store the device identifier, a hashed copy of the secret, the platform, when the account was last used, and, for each session, the IP address and the country it indicates. We use these to keep you signed in, protect the service and prevent abuse. Settings shows an account ID that you can quote to support.
2. Face photos
Before you add your first face, Memix asks for your consent. When you choose a photo or take one:
- Your device detects the faces, and only the cropped face is uploaded. The full photo stays on your device.
- Saved faces are kept in your private face bank, which holds up to 10 faces. They are used only to make the memes you ask for.
- A face that isn't used for 30 days is deleted automatically. You can delete one face, or all of them, at any time in Settings › Manage face bank or Delete all faces. Uploads that aren't completed within an hour are removed.
- We don't use face photos to recognize or identify anyone, and we don't create face templates or other biometric identifiers. Face photos are never shown publicly or used to train AI models.
Only add faces of people who have agreed. If you add someone else's face, you're responsible for getting their permission.
3. Memes you create
When you create a meme, we process the chosen template, the faces you assigned and, for "Make your own meme", the idea you typed. The result is stored in your private gallery (Mine) until you delete it. Memix has no public feed. Images are delivered through links that can't be guessed, but anyone you share a link or image with can see it. Captions you add are drawn on your device and are not uploaded.
Results are generated by AI and labeled "Made with AI" in the app. If you report an image, your email app opens with the image ID. We then process your message and that ID to review the report.
4. AI processing
To make an image, we send the face crops, the template scene and your idea to our AI image-processing provider, WaveSpeed AI, which runs the image models. The provider gets a temporary link that expires after about 90 minutes. It processes the images only to return the result, and it may keep generated outputs for a short time (about 7 days) under its own terms. Automated safety checks may block some content.
5. Purchases
Credit packs and subscriptions are sold through Apple. We use RevenueCat to validate purchases and keep your credit balance, linked to your Memix account ID. We never receive your payment card details.
6. Permissions on your device
- Photos: the system photo picker shares only the photos you pick. Access to add photos is used only when you save an image.
- Camera: used only when you choose to take a face photo.
- Notifications: optional. They are local notifications that tell you when a meme is ready. We don't use push tokens.
7. Who we share data with
We share data only with the service providers we need to run Memix: cloud hosting and storage (Render and Cloudflare), AI image processing (WaveSpeed AI and the model providers it uses), and purchase management (Apple and RevenueCat). They can use the data only to provide their service to us. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect people from harm.
8. Where data is processed
Our providers may process data outside your country, including in Singapore and the United States. When they do, we rely on safeguards required by applicable law, including Vietnam's Decree 13/2023/ND-CP on personal data protection.
9. How long we keep data

10. Your rights and choices
You can see, delete and control your faces and memes in the app. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to withdraw consent, and to object to or restrict processing. To use these rights, or to delete everything linked to your account, see Delete your data or email tuyetnt6134@icloud.com. Withdrawing consent doesn't affect processing that already happened.
11. Children
Memix is not intended for children under 13, or under the minimum age for consenting to data processing where they live. We don't knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has used Memix, contact us and we will delete the data.
12. Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Face photos are kept in private storage, and account secrets are stored as hashes. No system is perfectly secure, and we will notify you and the authorities of a breach when the law requires it.
13. Changes
If we make a material change to this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date, and tell you in the app when the law requires it.
